TERAGRAM COMPOSER

JOSH LYNCH

Josh Lynch has an uncommon knack for gathering musical raw material to spark an idea. As a result, he is not just a prolific composer and sought after hard rocking record producer, he is an American audio powerhouse who specializes in music for motion-picture advertising, television promotion, and video game marketing -- all the while writing and recording heavy metal and rap-rock superstars.

He also happens to be a brilliant audio engineer, and an extraordinary human being, so there’s no shortage of ideas -- both in his own projects and as a superb collaborator -- from his nonstop creative and ever-anxious mind. Some of his most popular tracks have been born from that anxiousness, though, which he harnesses in the most unusual musical manner.

Thankfully, for Josh, it has translated to success. He wrote and produced cues that were used in trailer campaigns for Hellboy, Mortal Engines, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Sicario, The Amazing Spiderman 2, Divergent, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, to name a few.

Josh co-wrote and produced the self-titled debut of supergroup Powerflo (featuring members of Cypress Hill, Biohazard, Fear Factory, Downset, and Worst), and he co-produced My Ruin and Good Stories. He’s young and is just getting started.

Josh currently resides in Los Angeles, California with his fiancé Misa, his dog Hans, a cat named Spud, and an ass-kicking mobile rig that will ultimately reinvent the trailer music genre as we know it.

"That hook is so important because the difference between just being this wallpaper of rhythm and music and sound ... in my mind it is the melody that touches you, that connects. If it touches you in the heart it will always come back to you. You will remember. That's the ‘good’ part of good music."
